As anticipated and discussed numerous times finally YEIDA (Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority) has allocated about 430 Acres of land to Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali group to develop a mega food park on Yamuna Expressway. It has reported that this land has been allocated to Patanjali Ayurveda at 20% discount on the current rate of land in this area in consideration that it will bring employment to about 1 lac people in nearby areas. YEIDA has identified Sector 22, 24A and 24 to allocate this land.
Patanjali Yamuna expressway will ensure that company will start the activity on the site within one year from the final registry and other required formalities. Group has planned to setup units for agriculture, food, dairy etc. on this land. Apart of these food units Patanajali also have planned to start an Ayurveda University in 25 acres on Yamuna Expressway, YEIDA will provide the land for this university soon. About 1600 cr investment by Patanajali group has been expected for all these developments.
This food park will manufacture major products out from these units. Because it is located in the NCR region and has proximity to the airport and major expressways, it will be considered as hub. It is estimated that when these units will run at full capacity it will produce goods worth Rs 25,000 crore annually and around 10,000 direct jobs could provided benefits to around 50,000 families by. In one of the recent interview, Acharya Balkrishna, CEO of Patanjali group stated “”We are also likely to add an Ayurved Mahavidyala across 50 acres, an Acharykulam, a school based on Vedic-cum-modern education across 60 acres, a Patanjali gramudyog in 30 acres, a Divya pharmacy across 50 acres and a Yoga, Naturopathy & Panchkarma centre across 400 acres. We have seen the land located in the YEIDA area. It is contiguous and suits our purpose. I will now work out the details of the project in consultation with Baba Ramdev. It will be launched in a time-bound manner and could be in place within the year,”
